Addis Ababa, November 21,2003 (ENA)- The Eritrean Ministry of Foreign Affairs decided yesterday to withdraw its ambassador from the African Union (AU), Voice of the Broad Masses of Eritrea said."The Eritrean Government has expressed its indignation with the AU for failing to adhere to its own charter and enforce its treaties," the radio quoted the ministry as saying.
However, it is to be recalled that the Organization of African Unity had played a positive and constructive role to seek a lasting peace to the Ethio-Eritrea border conflict ever since its inception.
the African Union on its part has currently been exerting utmost efforts to break the deadlock that has been an impediment to the implementation of the peace accord.
